Never hesitate to hold out your hand; never hesitate to accept the outstretched hand of another. -Pope John XXIII
We live by 'Faith' and 'Fellowship'. The Kingdom of God does not so much operate through buying and selling, but more through giving and receiving. We found this to be so true. When we look at our past 30 years of ministry, we are amazed how God has provided for us time and again. However, every 'financial miracle' involved friends and family who gave sacrificially. Without their help we could not have done what we have been involved in so far. As we traveled the world, raised a family, ended up buying a house here in Canada and opened our home to become a 'Place of Refuge' for many, we feel that those who prayed and gave were very much part of the restoration, healing and encouragement of those we ministered to. I am certain that God designed it this way to help us see that the glue of the Kingdom is relationships!
That is why we are so grateful for everyone who desires to participate with us in this next phase of our lives. Our prayer for you is that the eyes of your heart will continue to be opened to see how wonderful His love is towards you in every way!
So here is what Brad suggested in his letter:
I hope that you're okay to welcome my request for participation. Specifically, here are my suggestions:
I am trying to recruit a commitment from fifty intercessors for daily prayers throughout the next twelve months. And we're looking for another seventy intercessors who would be willing to pray for them at least once per week (ten per day).
I am hoping to recruit for provision along the way. And there's more than one way to participate as God's hand of care here. I suggest any or several of the following:
A one-year commitment to monthly financial support (to cover this year from September 2010 on).
A one-time gift at the outset of the journey.
For those with surplus air miles, freeing up some of those towards flights, car rentals, and lodging along the way.
For those with time-share points or guesthouses here and there, freeing those up for use towards lodging.
Perhaps you have some other creative thoughts as well? Wonderful. Of course, we'll need our offers to be as flexible as Peter and Anne-Marie's schedule, but imagine how wonderful and even relatively easy it might be for us to collectively make all travel and shelter for the next year a non-issue?
In case you want to participate in any of the above ways, please write us an e-mail at: partherwithus@me.com, so we know how you desire to participate and can keep you informed as to our plans and future developments.
