What is it?
A 10 week Mentoring program for those who want to grow in their christian character and explore who they are in Christ. Someone once said: ‘We are MORE than what we have become!’ Most of the time we allow fear to limit our God-given creativity and abilities and end up being lived more than truly coming alive. This is why we are so excited about this program and the format of the school. Anne-Marie and I have led many different schools before, like DTS’s in YWAM Holland and several ‘Go-Schools’ here in Canada. We have learned a lot through leading these schools and have come to focus especially on the individual student with his or her unique gift-mix and cultural background. Our particular goal is to help those who join us come alive in who they are in Christ. The aspect of interactive teaching and community within a family, small group setting, is one of the unique aspects of our school. That is why we have a maximum of 12 students, who live with us in our 7 bedroom lodge (Appleseed Lodge)in Westbank, BC, Canada. We also find that every school we direct is unique and although we have a structured curriculum, we try to be open to the leading of the Holy Spirit and be flexible as to how He wants us to fill in the times we have together.
What can I expect ?
There will be interactive teaching times in the morning and some practical work in the afternoon. The evenings are usually free to study, fellowship with each other and relax. There will be plenty of time for personal reflection, processing and study of the materials given during the teaching times. Because this course is given in our home, where you will also be staying, the aspect of community is a vital part of the learning experience. Anne-Marie and I love life, taste and colour and try to create an atmosphere of creativity, fun, peace and safety.
Why would I go?
The program is unique and will give you ‘real’ to life tools, expose you to people from other cultures, and give you a broad view of what the Holy Spirit is doing in our world today. The school is set in the privacy of our home, which guarantees lots of interaction with those who teach and minister and empowers you with spiritual and practical tools to make a difference in your world!
What will I learn during this program?
Learning is a life long process and is far more than just collecting all kinds of information. Our idea is to give you tools that you can use for the rest of your life to discover what life is all about and how to make a difference in your world. The learning process is not limited to the ‘class-room’ but extends itself through the interaction with the speakers/teachers and ofcourse each other. How much does it cost?
The total costs of the program is Can $ 3850,- (Euro's: 2350,- approx) ALL INCLUSIVE , Food & Accomodation throughout the entire school, teaching and mentoring. (Note: 'Travel Insurance, costs for books and spending money are NOT included'
You will have to fill out an application form and after we have prayed we will notify you with a confirmation e-mail.
Half of the amount needs to be payed before April the 1st, 2010 and the rest needs to be paid on arrival! (If you pay the total amount before April the 1st you will get Can $ 100,- off)
